It
all started in the early 1952 when a group of publicans decided to enjoy a game
of golf together, AND raise some money for Charity.
Over the years, and more so since 1998, the Liquor Industry Charity Golf Day has raised over $1.5 million for SA Charities, with a focus on children’s charities.
The Liquor Industry Charity Golf Day encourages publicans and allied industries to unite and raise funds for worthy causes across South Australia with a focus on Children’s services.
A significant donation to the day is afforded by the Grange Golf Course and their members who allow both East and West courses at Grange to be available for the Ambrose event.
BankSA has provided monetary as well as infrastructure assistance to the Liquor Industry Charity Golf Club with the BankSA Marquee.
Each year fund-raising reaches new record highs, as we strive to collect more proceeds for Charity.
The committee, who are all volunteers from the Hotel industry—both publicans and suppliers—plan and organise all activity on the day.
